James
Every time I have worked with you it has been a brilliant experience. Every picture that I have received from you from our shoots have been amazing and I have loved them. You are very easy to work with and make me feel at ease and confident in front of the camera. You are extremely talented and I would love to work with you again one day in the future. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of some of your shoots.
James is a genius…this I know is an overused word these days but in James case its the real deal… Ive always marvelled at how beautiful his pics are – the composition and the thought and care that goes into each shot..well I think Jameses images speak for themselves. They are stunning and he is one of the most genuine, lovely blokes in the industry and Im proud to know him & call him a friend
James always addresses me as ‘Trouble’ No idea where he gets that notion, but there it is.
I’ve worked with him on a few occasions and enjoyed every moment. If ever he needs me, I’ll be there like a shot.
Being the subject recently, I was just as amazing and the images speak for themselves. I am blown away by his style, his generosity and never ending kindness.
One in a mill Mr Melia!
Working with James Melia was one of the most fun photoshoots I have ever had. It was a Fantastic experience and he is a lovely person to be around and work with. His photography is truely inspiring and beautiful and his shoots really do show for themselves. Having worked with James over a year ago I have had the priviledge of being able to watch his work grow and manifest into art that is truely spectacular and he is now a true photographer with class and elegance. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey.
What can i say! It would have been a pleasure to have James as a guest at our wedding never mind in a professional context. We ended up having both. A thoroughly good bloke and a genius photographer. The photographs are exceptional. Thank you!
Part of me wishes I could get married all over again — to my darling wife, of course! — just so I could have James take the photographs again! He was fantastic: great fun but unfailingly professional, lighthearted but remarkably talented, discreet but always in the right place at the right time, taking the perfect shot. I’m sure I’ll find another excuse for working with him again soon!
Inspiring, giddy excited, relentless energy and passion when on a shoot, James is a pleasure to work with and generally be around, he makes you strive for better. The photography is outstanding, I always know the images are going to be amazing but when you see them they still manage to take your breath away. Light, composition and emotion, just stunning. James is destined for more and more greatness…watch this space x
Before working with James, I had seen examples of his work and loved them, but never truly understood his talent until I saw him in action on a recent shoot.
He is so relaxed, ‘cool as a cucumber’ and puts everyone instantly at ease, which creates a great working environment, which in turn makes for the most beautiful end results. How he captures what he captures is a mystery to me.
It has only been a year since I first worked with James and knew straight away that he was something special! So full of creative energy, passionate in his path, kind & gentle, full of fun and games. Each working day is a true inspiration.
– here’s a little insight – imagine a place full of life and beauty, you can see it, but wish you could capture the moment so perfectly, with all it’s noise, colours and emotions. Behind the camera he dashes around, feeling each moment and capturing tiny details, raising smiles and encouraging laughter. The results are always breathtaking, more than you could ever imagine. You rock Mr Melia! and I feel very privileged to be a small part of it all! Destined for everything you deserve
James really is such a pleasure to work with!!!!! He makes the simplest setting into killer shots, the first shoot i did with him wasnt as planned but took place in my backroom and garden. No fancy tricks but still my absolute favurite shots. Would happily recommend him to anyone wanting top notch shots

I love every second of working with James! He is so upbeat, energetic and passionate about his work. He relaxes and brings smiles to everyone he works with and is so natural and relaxed behind the camera himself.
I couldn’t have wished for a better photographer for my first shoot. The images were everything I have dreamed off and more! I am always receiving compliments on the shoot and feel proud and very lucky to have met James! I couldn’t recommend him enough, he is a true talent and has an amazing bight future ahead of him!
I had the privilege of working with James last week. I was quite apprehensive about having my photograph taken but James made me feel at ease from the moment I met him and I really enjoyed being in front of his camera. I am delighted with the photographs and feel that he really captured ‘me’.

I met him James at a recent photo shoot, which I have to admit I was little apprehensive about. From the moment we arrived I knew we were in good hands; he made us feel relaxed, comfortable and special! He is a true professional and his enthusiasm, creativity and attention to detail are second to none. James is so passionate about his work and this is reflected in his amazing photographs. He somehow manages to capture those moments which many others miss. He was a pleasure to work with and after having such a great experience I now hope we have the opportunity do another shoot some time in the future – I loved it!
James took some amazing pictures of my 10 week old daughter and we couldn’t be more thrilled with them. We really wanted some pictures that had the three of us in as a family without them looking dated and we got exactly that! James even managed to capture our little girl laughing and smiling, not an easy task!
The whole shoot was relaxed, informal and we felt at complete ease – my husband put it perfectly “it felt like an old friend popped round for a brew and just happened to take a few pictures whilst they were here (amazing pictures none the less!!!)
I can’t compliment or recommend James enough we will definitely be looking to invite him back for the next mile stone

We had the pleasure of hanging out with James for our pre-wedding shoot. James had some amazing ideas, and was up for anything! He made us feel completely comfortable and as a result, the pictures are INCREDIBLE (even if we do say so ourselves). He put us totally at ease and it felt like we were hanging out with a friend, not a guy we’d met moments before! James was also great at offering some advice and offered to help out with finding us things we’d yet to sort for the wedding; something that we both felt was above and beyond what a photographer should be doing. He’s a real gem and shoot incredible photos. I have already recommended him to several others! And we cannot wait for the real day now!

What a fantastic photographer!!!!! James is brilliant he recently photographed my daughter at her 1st birthday and the results are fantastic. He is a really fun guy to work with and will do anything to make sure his customers are happy, I would highly recommend him we have already booked him for our wedding in 2014. Thank you James for our fabulous wedding and pre-wedding photographs. You captured our day in exactly the way we hoped for and exactly the way we want to remember it. We can’t have been the most easy subjects all of the time (chaotic? us?), but the final result is absolutely outstanding and something for us and our friends and family to treasure. As well as being an expert photographer, you were an all round wedding saviour; sorting me (Pip) out when the fear kicked in and reminding us to take a minute out to reflect on our big day. All our guests commented on what a lovely guy you are and that shines through in all the fantastic shots – everyone is relaxed and at ease, and you’ve managed to make us all look fabulous. We would recommend James to anyone without hesitation – our only regret is that we can’t do it all over again for another set of fantastic images and memories. Thank you so much – our photos are really so much more than we could have wished for!
